This tabletop brass version of the traditional Buddhist prayer wheel is adorned with the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism: The Golden Fish; The Parasol; The Urn; The Lotus Flower; The Conch Shell; The Infinite Knot; The Wheel; and The Flag. The prayer wheel also features a special Buddhist mantra and colorful bead accents.
Handmade in Nepal: Organic defects and rustic finish add to the artistic character of the piece. Specific design and decorative symbols may vary.
Authentic Prayer Wheels: Traditional wheels are made using a hollow cylinder that holds a scroll of mantras. The cylinder is held in place using a metal wire that runs through the center of the cylinder and is connected to both ends, where the two end caps are manually fitted. It is not uncommon for the wheels to come apart in transit. The removable metal cap can be reattached by pushing down slightly and twisting over the cylinder till the cap finds its fitting.
