- Handmade in Nepal, rustic detailing and organic finish apparent
Handmade in Nepal: organic imperfections in the finish add to the artistic character of the piece. Traditional wheels are made using a hollow cylinder that holds a scroll of mantras. The cylinder is held in place using a metal wire that runs through the center of the cylinder and is connected to both ends, where the two end caps are manually fitted. It is not uncommon for the wheels to come apart in transit. The removable metal cap can be reattached by pushing down slightly and twisting over the cylinder till the cap finds its fitting.
