A tingsha is a traditional Tibetan chime. You can use it to clear the air of negative energy or to mark the beginning of ritual or meditation. Made of brass, tingsha chimes have a clear light ring and are often decorated with symbolic reliefs. This beautiful chime features reliefs of the auspicious Conch Shell symbol and hangs from an ornate Lucky Fish stand. Lucky Fish, like the Conch Shell, is one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Tibetan Buddhism. They represent freedom from samsara, the cycle of birth and rebirth.
When assembled, the entire piece measures about 8 inches high, 5 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. Chime is 2.5 inches in diameter. The set comes with a wooden striker, which you may use to gently tap the chime. The striker is 3.5 inches long. Made in India. Minimal assembly required.
